Forge · Insignia
THE SHORT VERSION
Coverage runs for the lifetime of the product or your ownership of the home (depending on the line). Insulated glass units are covered against seal failure. Both lines include transfer provisions when you sell. Below is what that means — plus the full manufacturer documents.
OUR TWO WINDOW LINES
Two manufacturers. One Homestead standard.
01 · THE FORGE SERIES
Lifetime limited. Transfers to every owner.
Manufactured for Homestead Energy by Norandex Building Products (a division of American Builders & Contractors Supply Co.).
02 · INSIGNIA
Lifetime while you own and reside.
The triple-pane system we’ve installed in Kansas City homes for over a decade. Manufactured and warranted by Alside.
SIDE BY SIDE
See the differences before you need them.
Both lines are backed for the long haul. The differences are in the details — and we’d rather you see them side by side than discover them later.

WHAT IT ACTUALLY MEANS
When you sell, the warranty can go with the home.
Most homeowners don’t realize this is a selling point worth putting in a listing. The Forge transfers to every subsequent owner. Insignia transfers one time within 25 years of installation, with the remaining term passing to the buyer — so complete the “Issued To” section of your warranty document and hand it over at closing.
WHY INSTALLATION MATTERS
A perfect window installed poorly leaves you unprotected.
Manufacturer warranties cover the product, not the installation. Both of our manufacturers state it directly: improper installation is excluded, and caulking isn’t part of the warranted product. That’s why precision installation isn’t a marketing line for us — it’s what keeps your coverage intact.

Warranty FAQ
Straight answers before you need them.
Are your warranties really transferable?
Yes, with different terms by line. The Forge Series transfers to all subsequent owners of the product. Insignia transfers one time to the next owner within 25 years of installation, with the remainder of that 25-year period passing to them.
What does “lifetime” actually cover?
It depends on the line. Forge mainframe coverage runs for the lifetime of the product as installed, with insulated glass units covered 20 years. Insignia’s lifetime coverage runs for as long as you own and reside in the home, and includes the frame, hardware, glass seal, and glass breakage.
Is labor covered?
Both lines cover repair labor for two years. After that, inspection, labor, and shipping costs are the homeowner’s responsibility.
Is condensation covered?
No. Condensation is a natural result of indoor humidity meeting temperature differences at the glass and isn’t considered a defect. If you’re seeing condensation between panes, that’s a different issue — that’s a seal failure, and it is covered.
What can void my warranty?
The most common causes are improper installation, alterations after installation (films, tints, sealants), removal of the product from the property, and damage from acts of nature. Full terms are in each manufacturer’s document.
